Squarespace Basics: Social Media Links
Social links can be added throughout the Squarespace website so the visitor can click on a link to social media and go directly to that Social Media URL.
Social media links can be added to:
Header
Footer
Body content of the website where blocks can be added
Social links can be added anywhere blocks can be added to your website. Click on the + sign in the block area to pull up the listings. Click Social Links.
Start by adding Social Link URLs to the website:
Home Menu > Settings > Social Links

Squarespace allows you to customize the social media icon.
Home Menu > Design > Site Styles > Colors
Chose the Customized Theme for the section where your Social Link icon will appear. Scroll until you reach the Social Links Block. In this section you can change the Main Color and Secondary Color for the Social Icon.
Adding your Social Media URL links throughout your website will allow your visitor to easily access the other information that you have put online about your organization or business. They do not have to go into that Social Media website and find you. One click of the button and the information is in front of them. Customizing this button will make the icon stand out for the visitor. Good luck!
