Generating QR codes
Squarespace is always adding and changing features on the platform, which is one of the reasons I enjoy working with it. They’re constantly evolving to meet the needs of modern websites, from small businesses to non-profits and beyond.
One helpful feature that’s gained more importance recently is the ability to easily integrate QR codes. QR codes have become essential tools for small businesses and non-profits because they bridge the gap between the physical and digital world. Whether it’s on a flyer, postcard, product tag, or event signage, QR codes let people quickly scan and be taken directly to a webpage for more information.

Squarespace has made this even easier by implementing a built-in QR code feature for every page on your Squarespace website. In the General section of each page's settings, you can now click a toggle to instantly generate a customized QR code that links directly to that specific page. It’s a quick and convenient way to share your content offline, without needing any extra tools.
For more advanced customization—like adding your logo or matching your brand colors—third-party tools such as QR Code Monkey and Canva can help you create a branded QR code that stands out. This is especially useful if you’re including QR codes on print materials and want to maintain a cohesive visual identity.

Here are just a few smart ways to use QR codes:
Link to an RSVP or ticketing page for an upcoming event
Drive traffic to a donation page
Promote a new product or service
Share a digital menu or pricing guide
Direct people to sign up for a newsletter or volunteer form
If you're not using QR codes yet, now is a great time to explore how they can fit into your marketing strategy. They’re a small detail that can make a big impact—especially with how easy Squarespace has made it to get started.

A well-designed website is more than just a digital brochure—it’s a 24/7 welcome to your audience. It should highlight what your business or organization has accomplished, share your mission, and guide visitors through your content in a clear, friendly way.
