Squarespace Help Center
I can’t say enough about the Help Center on Squarespace. That is my #1 selling point to clients when I talk about creating a website on the Squarespace platform. Squarespace has enabled some sort of way to help you with your website at any time. From online resources, chat, email, or forums you can figure out answers to any kind of question about your website.
After I design a website for a client, I teach them how to make changes and updates to their website to keep it fresh and new. I always make a point to tell them about all of the Squarespace resources. There are so many ways to find answers to your questions and I want my client to be able to quickly find what they need.

Knowledge Base
This is the first place I go when I have a Squarespace question. You can type in your question in the search bar, look at popular guides, and browse topics. I type in keywords and normally am able to find what I’m looking for in a fast manner. The articles always show you how to make necessary changes and sometimes have videos to visually allow you to see how to make the change. Many times, there are links to other Knowledge Base articles as answering one question may have you ask a few more. These in-depth articles and videos that Squarespace houses helps you quickly make changes and find out more information that you are looking for. Articles are kept up-to-date, and changes are made as necessary by Squarespace.
Videos
If you are just looking for videos to help, there are many. These are the same videos that are in the Knowledge Base articles. Just type in keywords to find what you are looking for, sit back, and learn.
Webinars
Webinars are a great place for an interactive experience. You can send questions in real time, and they will answer through the chat or in the presentation. I have seen the regular Webinars that are always on the Help Center many times and whenever Squarespace offers a new Webinar I always join. There is always something new to learn.
Chat
Please check up-to-date times as this may change due to holidays around the world and for other reasons. I love to chat with a Squarespace representative. You can type out your question and send screenshots. They will look into your website, send links to articles and sometimes send specific videos of making changes to your website. They will never alter your site but show you how to do it in a step-by-step fashion. If at the end you need them to email you the script just ask, and they will send it right over. Sometimes they give such wonderful information and links to articles that I would like to keep it for future reference.
This is another great way to have a conversation with a Squarespace representative. When chat is not available this is my go-to for resources. Their response time has been wonderful, and they give you links to articles and even video step-by-step on your website to answer your questions. Keep in mind, the representative does not change your website but just shows you a video of how to make the change on your website for you to do. Sometimes I will use email when I am busy and do not necessarily need the answer right at that time. If I am working late and have a question I will send it over, go to bed, and have the answer in the morning. Once the representative responds to your question you can email back and forth with them until your issue has been resolved. That has been so helpful as sometimes I am looking for an answer to a question but may not phrase it correctly or maybe the representative gives me a better way to make a change instead of what I was originally thinking. My favorite part of email is getting the response from the representative. The first line is always, “Greetings from….” This could be anywhere in the world. Most recently it’s been Ireland for me. It’s a great way to start the email and puts me at ease right away.
Community Forums
Community forums are not a way to reach Squarespace representatives, but it is a way for website owners to ask questions of each other and get answers from other owners. This is a good way to ask specific questions about your website and have them answered by other people who have similar websites or may know how to solve your issue or help you. I have seen many questions asking how to do something on a website when Squarespace does not have a specific way to do it. Sometimes there are workarounds or added widgets that others use to perform a function. Squarespace Circle member have their own forum and many questions we pose to each other are concerning clients and the best way to create the website they envision.
The Help Center on the Squarespace website is invaluable. There is always a way to get the best, up-to-date information you need. I never feel frustrated waiting for an answer and am so happy with the response time. I have used other platforms and always compare the help center to Squarespace. I am so happy to have found this platform.
Normally I start with the Knowledge Base and take some time to educate myself. If I still have questions, I first, try the chat and if that’s not available I email a representative. But it all depends on the answer I’m looking for. It is so important to me that the information on the Knowledge Base is updated often. I always take a peek at the last updated date before reading the article. (Not to worry - it’s always up-to-date in my experience.)
Whatever time of day it is I feel that you can get a quick answer from some part of the Squarespace Help Center. Whatever answer you are looking for you will be able to find in a section of the Squarespace Help Center or reach out to a representative or a forum for further help.
