Squarespace has a new feature called Courses. Courses are a guided curriculum for customers where you can create your own unique content and showcase your expertise through free access, a fixed amount, or a subscription plan.

To utilize Courses, you must have a current Squarespace website hosting plan.

Curriculum
The home page is the overview page that everyone visiting your website can see. This includes:

  • Title

  • Description

  • Chapters and Lessons added to Courses

  • Progress Bar

Build Your Course

  • As you think about creating your course make sure you ask yourself who is the customer you are trying to contact. Ask yourself - What do they know? and What would they want to know?

  • Organize videos, pictures, and written content to showcase your information. (Videos can be hosted on the Squarespace website, YouTube, or Vimeo.)

  • Create Chapters and include Lessons within Chapters.

  • Personal Customization can be added to the Courses pages. It is the same customization that is added throughout the Squarespace website.

Create Pricing plan for your Customers

You can create different pricing plans for your course needs:

  • Free - Create courses and give customers free access.

  • Fixed amount - Create one amount for the customer to access the information.

  • Subscription - Set up a recurring charges for access.

  • Discount codes may be added.

Pricing Information to Website Owner

  • Purchase a Digital Pricing Plan. If you are not currently selling physical products online you may purchase a Squarespace Personal pricing plan and add on the Digital Product Plan.

May Web Design, LLC refreshes and creates affordable websites that enable clients to take ownership and update themselves on a Squarespace platform. I enjoy helping clients increase customer engagement with a website and improve their overall web presence. The most important part of my business is that when I have completed and reviewed the website with a client, I teach the client how to update their website so that they can keep it fresh and new. A website offers a 24/7 welcome to prospective members, showing them what your business or organization has accomplished and what you plan to do. If built correctly it should welcome people to the site and show them around in a comfortable way.

If you are interested in discussing the needs of a website for your business or nonprofit organization contact May Web Design, LLC. Starting out with a basic brochure website may be all that your business or organization needs. Your website should grow with you and change as needed.
