Beginner’s Guide to the Squarespace App
Squarespace has an easy way to view and update your website information from an IOS or Android device.
Squarespace has integrated their Squarespace App and now it’s just one App including the Commerce section. The App is available for IOS and Android devices and is designed for people using Squarespace 7.0 or 7.1 versions for their websites. All contributors can access the app. Based on the person’s access, the same information displayed on the computer can be viewed and edited on mobile devices.
Not only is Squarespace user-friendly on the computer but now you can update, add, and delete information, pictures, etc. from your phone!
The App works with:
Updating content on pages
Adding pictures to galleries and blocks
Reviewing your website analytics
Reviewing store inventory and orders
Updating settings
The App will soon be available in five additional languages:
Spanish
French
German
Portuguese
Italian
The additional languages are currently being rolled out to the Android users and Squarespace plans to roll out the additional languages to the IOS users this fall. (Fall 2021)
The App looks very similar to the website editing view so it’s very easy to become familiar with it.
There are five sections in this menu:
1.Home
The areas you have edited most recently will be shown here, a traffic overview and quick link to Analytics for further details, and a link to Squarespace support.
2. Pages
This is your Pages menu on Squarespace. It shows linked and unlinked pages. Form here you can click on a page to edit or add a new page.
3. Analytics
You may view traffic and other key detail. The App gives a nice overview of the analytical data for your website. It displays in a card-like view, and you click on each card to see further detailed information.
Make sure to enable push notifications to your phone from the App so you can receive information on website traffic spikes.
Settings/Notifications/Site Traffic Alerts
Toggle on for the website(s) in your account from where you would like to see notifications.
Keep in mind that not all analytical information can be viewed in the App. For more detail, read Squarespace’s Analytics in the Squarespace App from the Squarespace Knowledge Base.
4. Commerce
Review, fulfill orders, contact customers, and edit your store’s inventory and orders.
If you sell in person, you can add the Square card reader as a point-of-sale system. Squarespace has great information about Selling in person with Squarespace Point of Sale in the Squarespace Knowledge Base.
5. Settings

I do not work for Squarespace but as a web designer I have found Squarespace to be the most streamlined and easy to use website. I enjoy working with this platform to design websites. The most important part of my business is that after I design a website, I teach my clients how to use their website to keep it fresh and new. Squarespace is so user friendly that I am confident my clients will have a very good experience with their website.
If you have a Squarespace website, take a look at the Squarespace App so you can make updates and changes on the go. If you do not have a Squarespace website and are interested in having a user friendly website built for you, please contact May Web Design, LLC. Enjoy!
