After working many years with nonprofits, I found that websites are either non-existent because it is overwhelming to create, hard to maintain, and/or expensive to update. When someone wants to find out more about a business or organization the first thing they do is search the company online and what they see or do not see online really matters.

May Web Design, LLC offers affordable options to create professional websites from brochure websites to commerce | online shopping websites. Most importantly, I teach my client how to update their website and keep it fresh and new.

Websites offer a 24/7 welcome to prospective members/clients and current members/clients. Information on the website needs to be kept up-to-date and new. Current pictures and videos need to be displayed showing visitors your site and, most importantly, that your business or organization is vibrant and fresh. How does the website design process work?

Strategize

• We will begin with a one-hour consultation discussing your website in detail. To prepare for this call, I will send the prospective client a Project Form to review.

• We will talk about the goals for your website, the style, and the content.

• Following the initial call, I will send a contract and invoice for 50% of the total contract. If the client feels we are a good fit and the design in the contract is what they want, we are ready to get started.

Design

• Once I have all the information needed to design the website, I will begin on the website project.

• As soon as the website is ready to go, I will invite the client to a video conference so we can view the website together and finalize.

Educate

• After the website is approved by the client - I will teach the client how to use their website.

• The website is owned by the client, and they will be able to make changes and updates in real time.

What are monthly/annual fees for your services?

I design the website and turn it over to the client after teaching them how to use their website. There are no further monthly or annual fee payments for my services. All websites are designed on a Squarespace platform. Yearly or monthly hosting fees are paid to Squarespace. If a domain is purchased elsewhere, it could be kept where purchased or brought into Squarespace. Please refer to Squarespace for their current pricing plans - Squarespace Pricing.
