Squarespace Website Basics: Analytics
Watching your analytics is key to knowing how your website is working for your visitors. Watching your website analytics gives you a good picture of where visitors are going in your website and what is important to them. This is a built in feature to all Squarespace websites. Nothing to purchase separately or to opt into in any way.
Important: Make sure to have a Privacy Policy on your website letting visitors know that this information is being collected. Squarespace has sample privacy policies.
It depends on your website billing plan and setup as to what information you are able to see for each website.
To begin looking at Squarespace Analytics start at the home menu. Home > Analytics
Overview
Sales - if you have a commerce store on Squarespace you can view how the store is performing.
Revenues
Units Sold
Orders
Conversion Rate
Average Order Value
Revenue Per Visit
Traffic - the graphs show information about engagement in your website by visitors.
Total Visits
Bounce Rate - single page view
Unique Vistors
Pageviews
Device Used to Visit - desktop or mobile
Sources by Vist
Kind of browser
Kind of operating system
Geography
This area allows you to see from what countries visitors are located that have viewed your website.
Commerce
Sales by Product - look at individual items to see how they are selling.
Purchase Funnel - You are able to see who visited your website, of those who viewed product, of those that added to their cart, and finally to those that made a purchase.
Abandoned Cart - This is part of the premium commerce Squarespace package. If you have the upgraded commerce package you can see how well abandoned cart emails perform.

Traffic Sources - This area gives you a view as to where the visitor came from to view your site.

2. Search Keywords - You will need to verify your Squarespace website with Google Search Console by clicking ‘Connect’ in this area. Follow the prompts and once you Allow Google to connect to Squarespace you will be able to view your top SEO keywords. SEO is Search Engine Optimization which maximizes the number of visitors to your website.
Engagement
Site Content - This will help you figure out if your content is engaging. This section measure how long a visitor has view each page.
Activity Log - Information is given for the past seven days.

Form & Button Conversions - If you have forms or buttons on your website each form and each button record the number of clicks showing how each performs.
Site Search Keywords - Learn how visitors to your site are searching on your website.
RSS Subscribers - Bloggers and Podcasters will be able to analyze the traffic that their RSS feed receives.
Squarespace Analytics can help you figure out what is most important to your visitors. By seeing where they spend their time and what they are purchasing can help a business or organization make future decisions.
