Squarespace has a built in blog page where you can create and manage blogs. You may have one or more blog pages. You can categorize blogs and link them to the categories making it much easier for your visitor find the information they are looking for fast. As you begin to create blog posts you will want to have them organized in a user friendly manner.

Create as many categories as you need for your blog. You can use as many categories for each blog post. Many blogs could fall under one or more categories.

To create blog categories:

Home > Pages > Blog

To the right of the Blog post click Settings > Categories

Once blog categories are created you can add a section anywhere on your website to link the blog information. I have chosen to add this section on my blog page above the blog posts. Use a text block to add each category name.

To link the category:

1. Write the category name.

2. Highlight the category.

3. Click on the link icon.

4. Click on the gear icon to the right of the url code.

5. Under Link Editor click Page.

6. Choose Blog page.

7. Choose Blog category.

8. Click Save.

9. Click Apply.

You can also sort by Tags if that is where you have your categories.

Also, you can can change categories at any time. You do this the same way that you add categories. Simply change the categories linked to the blog post.

By linking blog posts to titles you can organize your blog posts. I did this as my blog posts began to grow so I could keep them in a neat organized order. The more blogs you write the more you are able to choose specific categories that they fit in. Take a look at my website and let me know what you think. Do you do something different?
